A bold, impasto rendering of Chelsea the tigress at Atlanta's famous zoo, this studio painting sold to the zoo president and CEO for his professional collection. I originally had sketched the tigress in her habitat during a plein air painting session, a smal piece entitled "The Tiger's Glen," and then took that oil sketch and some photos back into the studio to create this palette knife original work. The zoo was waiting for her to come into heat to mate her... hence the double entendre title :).
